Donations to Habitat’s Cars for Homes program help HFH-MW/GW build houses in partnership with families in need of decent, affordable shelter.

It is quick and easy to donate a car, truck, boat, RV, motorcycle, farm or construction equipment or other automobile. Your donation is tax deductible to the extent allowable by law (consult the IRS or your tax advisor for details). How it works:

1. Car donations are processed by Advanced Remarketing Services Inc., Habitat for Humanity International's authorized national agent.
2. As a donor, you provide information about your donated vehicle, including the make, model, vehicle identification number and mileage.
3. Most whole vehicles with proper title information are accepted, unless the processing costs and towing fees exceed the auction value of the vehicle, in which case the vehicle cannot be accepted.
4. After the vehicle is accepted for donation, the title is processed and the donor is contacted to coordinate vehicle and key pick up by a fully licensed and insured member of Advanced Remarketing Services's network of service providers.
5. The donated vehicle is processed and sold on behalf on Habitat for Humanity.
6. Donors receive an acknowledgement letter thanking them for their support and providing vehicle donation information. This letter may be used as a receipt for tax deduction purposes.
