There are a wide variety of opportunities available at Habitat for Humanity – everything from working on-site during a build day to helping at events to joining a committee. Anyone interested in volunteering with GWHFH should first attend one of our orientation meetings to find out more about us before getting involved.

All skill levels and interests are welcome and needed. We are especially looking for:

1. Volunteers to assist with securing items for our annual spring Raising the Roof dinner auction, by making phone calls or picking up donated items
2. Experienced and/or licensed contracting professionals or retirees to donate their time leading construction crews
3. Grant writers. Note that experience with grant writing is not necessary, however strong writing skills are preferred
4. A direct mail professional to serve on or advise our Development Committee
5. Volunteers willing to regularly pick up cans at businesses in Central Massachusetts and take them to a redemption location
